To sign up for the trip, please read all the info below and find the link to pay at the bottom of the page.

Join us from 11 May to 15 May 2025 for a visit to Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories. The trip will allow participants to hear from experts on a wide variety of issues, from Israeli politics, the war and humanitarian crisis in Gaza to the occupation and displacement of Palestinians,  the fight to free the hostages, and much more relating to Israeli and Palestinian society. This is a chance to learn, see things first hand, discuss and ask questions by speaking with the people who know the region best. The purpose of our trips to is give participants an opportunity to meet with key Yachad partners working in the region and explore options for how we move forward from the current situation to one that is solutions-focussed. Our trips provide participants with a unique chance to learn about the conflict in-depth, and to visit locations and meet individuals you would not normally be able to access.

The final itinerary will be confirmed closer to the time, and may change to reflect the current situation. Content is likely to include

- A visit to communities near the Gaza border to hear from survivors of 7 October

- A tour of East Jerusalem and various locations in the West Bank including the Hebron area and meeting with local Palestinian communities

 - Meeting with hostage families

- Meetings with Israeli and Palestinian official spokespeople as well as peace and human rights activists

Accommodation options

We are offering two different options for accommodation – the Leonardo Boutique Hotel Jerusalem, which is the hotel we usually use on our trips, and the Urbanic Hotel, which is a budget hotel located near the Leonardo Boutique. We have not used the Urbanic before but are offering it this time in order to make more affordable options for the trip available. Please note that the Urbanic Hotel does not offer breakfast.

The trip costs are:

Costs per person – Leonardo Boutique single-occupancy £1,200
Cost per person - Leonardo Boutique double-occupancy £1,000
Cost per person – Urbanic Hotel single-occupancy £900
Cost per person – Urbanic Hotel double-occupancy £750

NB Whilst we recognise the cost of the trip is significant, the actual cost of the trip is at least £400 more per person than what you are charged by Yachad. Yachad uses its charitable funds to subsidise each place to make it more affordable for more people to come on the trip. When you make a payment for the trip, you will be invited to make an additional charitable contribution towards the cost of this subsidy. If you are able to make any kind of contribution it will help reduce the cost to Yachad and the amount we have to fundraise to subsidise the trip.

Important Information

Travel guidelines and insurance

The FCDO has recently updated its travel guidelines to the region and at time of publication has now deemed most of Israel and parts of the West Bank safe to travel to. There are small areas of the West Bank where we may travel where the current advice is to avoid all but essential travel. These are areas we visit regularly and have done so since the start of the war including with MP and Rabbinical delegations. The Israeli guides that take us travel to these locations on a daily basis, to visit Palestinian communities known to them and to Yachad, and we are confident it is safe to visit these areas under these conditions.

We recommend that you check with your insurance provider exactly where they provide cover to. We also advise that members of our delegation take out additional local medical insurance so in the eventuality your travel insurance company is not able to provide you with cover to areas we may visit that are deemed all but essential travel, you will still have medical cover in place. The cost is around £4 per day and the insurance can be bought online here.  Please note you will be required to sign a waiver ahead of the trip to confirm you have your own travel insurance arrangements in place.

Applying for an ETA

Since January 2025 British citizens must now apply for an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) to enter Israel. The process is simple and is done filling in a form online. It is the responsibility of each participant to apply for their own ETA which you can do so here. If you are a citizen of another country you can check using this link whether you are required to make an application.

What flights should you book

The trip will begin early in the morning of Monday 12th May so you will need to be in Jerusalem the evening before. The hotels are booked to include a night’s accommodation on Sunday 11th May. Please do not book a return flight that leaves earlier than 4pm on Thursday 15th May – this is essential for programming purposes.

Please note – in order for the trip to proceed we aim to have a minimum of 10 participants. We will inform you when we have reached this minimum number, and we advise that you do not book flights (unless they are fully refundable) until we have confirmed with you there are the minimum number of participants on the trip.

Payment page

Please fill in the form and make the payment to secure your place on the trip. Please note this initial payment is a non-refundable deposit which covers the fixed costs associated with the trip. Closer to the time we will ask you to make a second payment that will cover the remainder of the costs.

In the eventuality that the trip is cancelled because of a change in security measure, too few participants or other unforeseen circumstances, Yachad will refund the deposit.

Please note – in order for the trip to proceed we aim to have a minimum of 10 participants. We will inform you when we have reached this minimum number, and we advise that you do not book flights (unless they are fully refundable) until we have confirmed with you there are the minimum number of participants on the trip.
