Last night, Rabbi Raziel Shevach, an Israeli father of 6, was shot dead in a terror attack near the outpost of Havat Gilad in the northern West Bank. Our thoughts are with his family.
This attack should be condemned in the strongest terms by everyone who seeks peace and a political resolution to the conflict. Above all, this murder is a personal tragedy for the family and friends of Rabbi Shevach, but – as has happened in the past – it also risks being a spark for increased violence and terror. We hope and pray that does not happen.
May his memory be a blessing.
