Dear friend,
With your help, over 1000 British Jews have signed our We Believe statement and the numbers are still growing.
In this difficult moment we must do all we can to ensure we get behind long-term peace. I know you know that, which is why you have signed the statement. But now we need to make sure as many people as possible see and hear about the statement.
This week we are taking out full page adverts in The Jewish News, The Jewish Chronicle, and The Jewish Telegraph, in which we …

In the meantime, we are continuing to gather …

I know you are busy but….22.07.2014

Dear friend,
I know you are busy but…
For the last few weeks we have all been watching the devastating news from Israel and Gaza.
The situation is far from easing, and the fear, loss of life, and pain is greater with each day. We’ve seen the debate and conversation about the war slip to new levels of hatred, racism and anti-Semitism, deeply lacking in compassion on all sides. In times of crisis we retreat to tribal lines, lending our unquestioning support to whichever team we feel a …

Dear friend,
Join us in a solidarity fast
Tuesday next week, 15th July,  is also 17th Tammuz, a day of fasting according to the Jewish calendar. It is the start of the three-week mourning period commemorating the First and Second Temples, and the loss of Jewish sovereignty in the land of Israel. This year it also falls during Ramadan, a month during which observant Muslims fast for 30 days during daylight hours.
Over the past few weeks we have witnessed an escalation of violence in …

Dear friend,
At this time of crisis for the Jewish People, your support is more vital than ever.
Three days ago the people of Israel buried Eyal Yifrah, Gilad Shaar and Naftali Fraenkel, following their horrific kidnapping and murder. Yachad stood side by side the rest of the community in mourning, at a solidary vigil for the families on Wednesday evening.
Today, as I write to you, Jerusalem is torn by riots in the wake of the burial of Muhammed Abu-Khdeir, the 16-year-old Palestinian suspected …
